Chick-fil-A will open its newest location in Huntsville next week in downtown Huntsville.
And it will perhaps be the ideal coronavirus pandemic restaurant – it's a drive-thru only location.
The location at Governors Drive and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard near Huntsville Hospital will open Thursday, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page. It will be the lone drive-thru-only location among the six Chick-fil-A restaurants in Huntsville.
The restaurant will be open for walk-up customers but there is no dining room – even though restaurant dining rooms across the state are currently closed because of the pandemic.
The downtown location has been in the works for more than a year with the popular fast-food chain filing plans with the Madison County probate office in December 2018. Construction began in October 2019.
