Cincinnati-based strategic HR Inc. has opened an office in Louisville.

The outsourced human resources management firm has offices in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio and in Northern Kentucky. Small to mid-size companies and non-profits are its primary clients.

“Our consultants are seasoned professionals who can assist a firm with recruiting, HR office reorganization, policies and procedures, benefits administration and furloughs and layoffs due to Covid-19 or other reasons,” Founder Robin Throckmorton said in the news release. “We particularly specialize in assisting lean HR departments or where no HR exists.”

Leading the new Louisville office is Senior Consultant Angela Dunaway. Her experience includes HR services for a range of issues for clients in industries such as government contracting, aerospace and defense, energy, healthcare, technology, retail, automotive, manufacturing, downtown revitalization, home building and engineering.

Dunaway is known for her listening skills and can-do attitude, the release said. Having worked on senior level leadership teams, she is known as a trusted advisor who is adept at working with clients to tackle multi-layered issues-- comprehensive compensation, employment law, employee handbooks, compliance and risk avoidance, leadership training, career path/succession planning, performance management, talent management and policy development.

“This is a thrilling opportunity to represent the multi-talented strategic HR inc. team here in Louisville,” Dunaway said in the release. “All of us are devoted to our profession and to the communities we serve.”

Dunaway served as Board President for the Society for Human Resources Management chapters in both Owensboro, Kentucky and Huntsville, Alabama. She also served on the boards of the Boulware Homeless Mission and the 13 Cares Foundation. Additionally, she volunteered with the NWA Network for Executive Women, The Care Center, Women in Networking, Junior Achievement, The Manna House and the Key Point Church Baton Rouge Flood Relief Team.

She resides in Louisville with her husband, Mark, as they keep tabs on their son Jonathon in Lexington, Kentucky and daughter Kristen in Washington D.C., the release said. Dunaway enjoys art, music, reading, travel, the Kentucky Wildcats and any sunny day at the beach.
