Alabama Now Has 131 Confirmed Cases of COVID-19
Earlier today the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) released the official count, by county, of confirmed coronavirus cases. A total of 131 people in Alabama now have the virus, with 9 cases so far in Madison County. 1258 people have been tested. There have been no recorded deaths due to the virus in Alabama at this time.
The first recorded case in Madison country was announced by ADPH on Tuesday, March 17th. At that time, the total amount of confirmed cases in Alabama was 36. According to the New York Times, as of this afternoon, 21,365 confirmed cases have been reported across all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and three territories. New York, Washington, and California have been hit hardest, all three states reporting over 1,000 cases. Reportedly, across the United States, 266 people have died.
