Urgent Care for Children is expanding its footprint again, this time with a new clinic in Huntsville.
The new clinic will be located at 2785 Carl T. Jones Drive and is slated to open in the fall. The company said it is one of several new locations planned for 2020, following a successful $3.5 million fundraising round in March.
“Our team of physicians and staff are thrilled to continue providing quality care with less waiting to the city of Huntsville," said UC4C Cofounder and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Allury Arora. "It has become increasingly clear to us that pediatric patients need access to specialized care, even when their primary care provider is not available, in the after-hours and on weekends.”
Like many health providers, Urgent Care for Children has been affected by Covid-19 – which affected patient volumes in the early parts of the pandemic. But, as Arora noted in our Small Business, Big Mission project, the company was holding on to its growth plans, despite the challenges created by the pandemic.
“Since opening our first clinic in the Huntsville area last year, it has been one of our fastest-growing locations. With that and the overwhelmingly positive reception from the community, we knew we wanted to expand our footprint in the market in 2020. Huntsville is one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities for a good reason, and we are excited to grow with the community and continue to serve its residents 365 days of the year,” said Urgent Care for Children CEO, Bannon Thorpe.
