Two Alabama companies have secured Department of Defense contracts.
According to Business Alabama, Huntsville's Iron Mountain Solutions and Mobile's Airbus DS Military Aircraft have both landed funds to perform work for the military.
Iron Mountain Solutions Inc. was awarded a $15.5 million modification to a contract for technical support for the Utility Helicopter Project Office of the U.S. Army. The work should be complete by Feb. 8.
Airbus was awarded a $10 million maximum ceiling firm-fixed-price contract for the sustainment and modernization of five CASA 212-200 CC60 aircraft. The work will involve installing new avionics suites and aircraft maintenance refresh for the U.S. Army Special Operation Aviation Command. That contract should be complete in August 2023.
