The International Festival of North Alabama (iFest 2025) returns to Huntsville this fall, bringing together cultures from around the world for a day of multicultural celebration. The International Society of Huntsville and Arts Huntsville will host this annual community event featuring global performances, international cuisine, and cultural displays.
The festival showcases over sixty countries, welcoming new participants each year. This year’s celebration adds Cameroon, Armenia, Portugal, and Venezuela to the lineup, plus the Society for Creative Anachronism. Attendees can experience traditional folk dances, instrumental performances, fashion shows, and martial arts demonstrations throughout the day.
The festival’s Culinary Caravan offers authentic dishes from participating countries, while the open-air market provides shopping opportunities for international goods and handicrafts. Additionally, families can explore the International Showcase featuring cultural artifacts, traditional clothing, photographs, and historical displays from various nations.
Children and families will enjoy free activities designed for all ages in the Take Flight section. Moreover, the event includes a colorful Parade of Nations where all countries are invited to participate.
Since 2010, the festival has grown significantly, representing diverse nations including Poland, Nigeria, Taiwan, Panama, China, Mexico, Ghana, the Philippines, Ukraine, and Vietnam. The event celebrates North Alabama’s multicultural community and welcomes everyone to participate.
Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs and blankets for comfortable viewing. Furthermore, the festival provides free parking and admission, making it accessible to all community members.
