A new Italian restaurant – Amerigo is coming to Huntsville. A neighborhood eatery specializing in classic Italian fare will bring a blend of traditional and modern Italian cuisine in late 2021.

After a very successful Char Restaurant, the opening of Amerigo was a logical step for the 4Top Hospitality Group.

Doug Hogrefe, co-owner at Amerigo said:

“Given the warm reception we received when we opened Char, in addition to the number of guests I’ve met from the Huntsville area frequenting our Amerigo in Brentwood, Tenn., we made opening another location in Huntsville a priority. We couldn’t be happier with the site we’ve chosen.”

Amerigo has been a crowd favorite since the opening of the first restaurant in Ridgeland. Quality and friendly customer service and delicious menu are keys to its success.

All Amerigo restaurants offer vegetarian and gluten-free dishes and use fresh local ingredients. Gluten-sensitive menu offers a wide range of salads, entrees, and desserts that make Amerigo an excellent dining experience for everyone.

Branch Properties Partner Brett Horowtiz explained why they chose The Market at Hays Farm as its first Alabama location:

“In the heart of one of the fastest-growing markets in the Southeast, The Market at Hays Farm is well underway to becoming a premier shopping and dining amenity for the surrounding South Huntsville area. As we continue to identify retail and restaurant offerings that will resonate with the community, we are looking forward to Amerigo joining the lineup, marking the concept’s entry into the state.”

Amerigo will offer lunch and dinner seven days a week and brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

There will be patio seating, private dining spaces, a full bar, and a comfortable dining room and catering will be available at the Huntsville location for pickup and delivery.

Architecture at the new location will be handled by Huntsville’s Matheny Goldmon Architects + Interiors.

Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate’s Vice President of Retail Anusha Alapati Davis said:

“Amerigo has been on Huntsville’s radar for years and it is an honor to finally help bring them to Alabama. Even with the unique challenges that came with the pandemic, Huntsville has continued to grow. Leasing a space that is over 7,500 square feet is a testament to that. Amerigo will bring an unrivaled level of service and unique Italian fare that will be a perfect fit for South Huntsville.”
