Madison Celebrates 43 Years of Community Spirit at Annual Street Festival

Madison’s beloved annual tradition returns this fall as the Historic Downtown Madison area prepares to host its 43rd Street Festival. This free family celebration brings together the entire community to showcase local businesses, arts, and the charm of downtown Madison.

The festival transforms Madison’s historic streets into a vibrant marketplace featuring live entertainment, performing arts showcases, and local artisan booths. Families can explore dedicated children’s and teen areas while browsing arts and crafts vendors. Additionally, food vendors will offer diverse dining options throughout the event.

Local businesses will have prominent displays in the sponsor row, highlighting Madison’s thriving commercial scene. The celebration also includes special showcases of midtown Madison developments, giving residents insight into their city’s growth and future plans.

Transportation convenience remains a priority for organizers. Free shuttle service will operate from Crosspointe Church and Madison City Stadium directly to the festival grounds. Alternatively, visitors can park at Madison City Stadium and take a short walk to the Wise Street entrance.

The day begins with excitement as a kickoff parade travels down Church Street at 9:00 a.m. Following the parade, opening ceremonies will take place on the main entertainment stage, officially launching the day’s festivities.

Organizers note an important shuttle change: between 8:45-10:00 a.m., the Crosspointe Church shuttle will use a different drop-off location. Passengers needing to return to Crosspointe Church during this timeframe should use the Maple Street shuttle stop.

This annual Madison celebration offers residents and visitors an opportunity to experience the community’s spirit while supporting local businesses and artists.
