The Home was also part of the Underground Railroad during the Civil War where many women, men and families were hidden from harms way as they escaped the atrocities of Slavery. There have been many sightings and noises in the house that could be the Spirits of those desperate souls. A Full Bodied Apparition was seen in the Kitchen. Other strange things have happened and it is said that there are several bodies buried on the grounds of the property in unmarked graves.
