Huntsville’s beloved barbecue celebration makes its comeback this October. The WhistleStop BBQ Festival returns to MidCity District after serving as a North Alabama tradition since 2001.
The Apollo Coalition now presents this iconic festival on October 17-18, 2025. Previously, the EarlyWorks Foundation produced WhistleStop for twenty years. Additionally, this year’s event will donate proceeds to EarlyWorks to honor that legacy.
Festival-goers can expect authentic barbecue competitions and live music performances. Furthermore, organizers promise new contests alongside traditional favorites. The two-day celebration transforms MidCity into Huntsville’s barbecue headquarters.
