Phuket Thai Restaurant & Sushi – Huntsville

Drew talks with Suwit Phornroekngam, owner of Phuket Thai Restaurant & Sushi.

They are the longest standing restaurant in the village of Providence, having been there for 14 years.

Suwit says that’s the result of them being stubborn!

His wife, Chef Tukky, is an executive chef, voted one of the Best Chefs in the Tennessee Valley.

Chef Tukky is also certified by the Government of Thailand as a masterful Thai Cuisine Chef.

If you want to try authentic Thai food, order from here!

As with all restaurants, they have had to stop offering dine-in service, which means only take-out, no-contact curbside pick-up and no-contact delivery.

A lot of their regular customers reach out to support them — by buying from them — because of their active presence on Facebook, Instagram and email.

Feel free to contact them at any of the following:

Suwit will not lay off anyone who works there, but they are reducing hours.

The things that have changed the most are the safety measures.

He’s been monitoring the coronavirus since February. Because of that, they had hand sanitizer available at the front two weeks before the shutdown.

He began encouraging people to order online for take-out or delivery.

They have marks on the floor indicating six feet apart.

They’ve been wearing masks since before it was announced to do so.

As a final thought, Suwit says: “If you can support any restaurant, not just us, please do.”
